  • Sprl LA MAISON DU CHIEN” undertakes to inform the owner of any problems that may arise during the stay.
  • The boarding kennel undertakes to provide a decent standard of living, as well as sufficient food and fresh water for the animal during its stay.
  • The boarding kennel will protect your pet against any ill-treatment that could have a detrimental effect on its health.
  • The boarding kennel will only accept dogs that have been vaccinated for at least one month and less than one year against the following diseases: square fever, parvovirus, infectious hepatitis, leptospirosis, and kennel cough (bordetellosis and influenza).
    Please note! Kennel cough is not systematically treated as part of veterinary care. Before booking, ask your vet to vaccinate your dog against kennel cough.
  • Your dog should have received a flea treatment and a deworming treatment before his stay.
  • The vaccination booklet or passport must accompany the animal during its stay in the establishment.
  • The boarding house has the right to cancel the animal’s stay if the vaccination booklet or passport does not accompany the animal.
  • All booked stays are payable in full. Early return of the animal will not be reimbursed.
  • A deposit or the total amount may be required to confirm the reservation. In the event of cancellation, no refund will be made.
  • The boarder will only be returned to the owner once the balance has been paid in full.
  • For safety reasons, the animal entrusted to the boarding house must be taken back by the person who brought it.
    If another person is to come in your place, this must be notified when the animal is deposited, and this person must bring his or her identity card and a certificate from you.
  • The daily price includes accommodation, food, fresh water, basket, blankets, bowls, 3×15 minutes playtime/day, sweets and toys. No discount will be given if the pet owner brings his/her own food. If the food is a home-cooked meal, the owner agrees to bring it in a freezer bag for 2€/supplement/meal.
  • The owner must notify the boarding kennel if one or more days additional to those indicated on the contract are to be granted, but he/she must also pay the extra cost of care.
  • If the boarding service is fully booked, the owner must adhere to the dates indicated at the time of reservation.
  • If the animal’s condition requires a veterinary visit, the owner gives his approval for “SPRL LA MAISON DU CHIEN” to call in a veterinarian.
  • The boarding kennel undertakes to contact the owner as soon as possible and to take all necessary measures for the health of the animal entrusted to it.
  • In the event of illness, accident or injury to the animal during its stay, the cost of treatment must be reimbursed by the owner on presentation of receipts AT THE TIME OF RETURN.
  • The owner must report any health problems upon arrival, together with the necessary treatment and the veterinarian’s instructions.
    If the dog is taking medication (drops, cream, tablets), the owner undertakes to bring sufficient supplies to administer the treatment. A supplement of 1 euro per dose will be added to the balance of the stay.
  • If the medication is more complex (bandages, injections, etc.), a discount will be added.
  • In the case of a serious pathology, cardiac, hepatic or other, which could lead to the death of the animal during the stay, the boarding kennel declines all responsibility and the owner discharges all responsibility towards the boarding kennel.
  • The boarding house cannot be held responsible in the event of the animal’s running away, illness or death.
    In the event of death, the owner has 48 hours to request an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
  • The autopsy is at the owner’s expense.
  • The veterinarian will draw up a report and issue a certificate.
  • If the animal cannot be collected on the date stipulated in the contract, the customer undertakes to notify the boarding kennel.
  • Failing this, 10 days after the expiry date of the contract and without any news from the owner, the boarding kennel will be obliged to entrust the animal to a shelter. Legal action will also be taken at the owner’s expense.
  • The boarding kennel reserves the right to refuse a dog that is not sociable towards human beings.
  • If the dog shows aggressive behavior towards the staff during its stay, the owner undertakes to recover the dog within a maximum of 24 hours.
  • Unspayed females will not be accepted unless proof of contraception is provided at the time of booking.
  • If the female dog comes into heat during her stay, the owner undertakes to collect her within a maximum of 24 hours, although the reservation will be fully payable.
  • The animal may be photographed during its stay, and these photos may be published on various social networks as well as on the sprl website.
  • In order to devote as much time as possible to our boarders, and to avoid interrupting a play or care session, entries and exits are by appointment only, and timetables must be strictly adhered to. The boarding kennel is closed on Sundays, Wednesdays and public holidays.
  • Special opening hours also apply during the festive season.
  • On arrival, dogs must be kept on a leash. Dangerous breeds must be fitted with a properly adjusted muzzle.
  • Dogs accompanied by their owners are under their full legal responsibility. The owner undertakes to be up to date with his family’s RC.
  • Boarding, training and grooming must be booked at the time of reservation. If the pick-up time is changed, please inform us in writing. If it is not possible to change the schedule agreed upon departure, the owner is obliged to pay in full despite the change.
    Training lessons are by appointment only (email, written to the office or sms).
  • All scheduled appointments may be cancelled without charge at least 48 hours before the date of the appointment, otherwise the lesson will be payable in full.
  • If weather conditions are unfavorable, an indoor work area is available.
  • A copy of this contract is available on request.
  • When the pet owner receives confirmation of accommodation, he/she undertakes to pay the full amount of the reservation. Only on presentation of a veterinary certificate attesting that the animal is in a dangerous state of health for other animals will the stay not be permitted. The certificate must be submitted in writing no later than 48 hours before the animal’s arrival date. Otherwise, this cancellation condition becomes null and void.
  • In the event of litigation, only the court of Nivelles will be competent.
  • Signing the accommodation contract implies acceptance subject to all the conditions indicated.
